PTS 2023 stands for the 3rd International Conference on Plasma Theory and Simulations.

The 3rd International Conference on Plasma Theory and Simulations (PTS 2023) is being held at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi, India from September 21-23, 2023.

The conference is organized by the School of Physical Sciences at JNU and is focused on the latest research in the fields of plasma theory and simulations.

Plasma is the fourth state of matter, after solids, liquids, and gases. It is a hot, ionized gas made up of free electrons and positive ions. Plasmas are found in a wide variety of environments, including stars, lightning bolts, and fluorescent bulbs.

Plasma theory and simulations are essential for understanding and predicting the behavior of plasmas. Plasma theorists develop mathematical models to describe the complex interactions between the particles in a plasma. Plasma simulators use these models to create computer simulations of plasmas.

PTS 2023 will cover a broad range of topics in plasma theory and simulations, including: – Novel numerical models, methods, and algorithms for solving complex and complicated plasma phenomena – Applications of plasma theory and simulations to laboratory, fusion, space, and astrophysical plasmas – Plasma waves, instabilities, and turbulence – Plasma transport and confinement – Plasma-wall interactions – Plasma diagnostics – Plasma applications

The conference will feature invited talks, oral presentations, and poster sessions. Selected papers from the conference will be published in Physica Scripta.

PTS 2023 is a unique opportunity for scientists and engineers from around the world to come together and share their latest research in the field of plasma theory and simulations. The conference is also a great opportunity for young researchers to learn from the leading experts in the field.
